KVS Balvatika Admission 2026–27

KV has introduced Balvatika classes to strengthen early childhood education. However, Balvatika is not available in all KVs—only in selected Kendriya Vidyalayas offering this pre-primary facility.

Age Criteria for KVS Balvatika Admission

Admissions to Balvatika are conducted through a lottery system, ensuring transparency and equal opportunity for all applicants. Key point to remember: Balvatika seats are limited and only in selected KVs, so parents should check the availability in their preferred school before applying.

KVS Class 1 Admission 2026–27 (Online Process)

KVS Class 1 admission 2026–27 is conducted online and is among the most competitive entry points in Kendriya Vidyalayas.

Age Eligibility for Class 1

• The child should be more than 5 years and less than 8 years as on 31 March 2026.
• Children born on 1 April are also eligible.

Important to note: Selection is based on a lottery system, so parents must regularly check the KVS admission list and school notice board during these dates.

KVS Admission 2026–27 for Classes 2 to 9 (Offline Process)

Admissions for Classes 2 to 9 are conducted offline, and only if seats are vacant in the respective Kendriya Vidyalaya.

Parents need to visit the respective KV to collect and submit the admission form. Since seats are limited in these classes, admission is strictly subject to availability.

KVS Age Criteria 2026–27 for All Classes

KVS follows a structured age policy where a child must fall within a fixed minimum and maximum age range for each class. These limits follow the progressive age structure introduced from the 2022–23 session.

Special Notes on KVS Age Relaxation & Senior Classes:

• The maximum age limit can be relaxed by up to 2 years for Children with Special Needs (CwSN).
• There is no age restriction for Class 11, provided admission is taken in the same year of passing Class 10.
• There is no upper or lower age limit for Class 12, provided there has been no break in study after Class 11.
